Sliding Number Line

10,00 ₾

How many steps from three to seven? Choose a starting number, move the slider along the path and count each step. A 1–10 number line for counting forwards and backwards and trying simple calculations.

Take a route to the answer: move the slider from one number to the next and count each step along the way.

Start at 4, move three steps forwards and stop at 7. Or start at 6 and move three steps backwards to reach 3. Use the board for counting in both directions, following number order, and addition and subtraction examples within 1–10.

Bring it out for a short maths activity at home: one person sets the problem and the other moves the slider to the answer.
